Indian Institute of Geomagnetism offers a Doctoral Programme in Geomagnetism and allied fields, Selected candidates may be required to do research work at Mumbai or other Centres of the Institute located at Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu) and Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).
Scholarship: Rs.8000/- per month (consolidated) for First and Second years and Rs.9, 000/- per month in subsequent years. In addition, book grant of Rs.6, 000/- per annum is provided to the students registered for Ph.D. (Revision of the Scholarship is under consideration). Hostel accommodation is also provided.
Requirements: M.Sc. / M.Sc. (Tech.) in Physics / Applied Physics / Geophysics / Applied Mathematics, with a minimum of 60% marks throughout and Physics as a subject in B.Sc.
