Application are invited the position of a System Administrator on Contractual basis at the high performance computing facility at the Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad, India. The system administrator is expected to manage several Linux clusters, associated facilities and infrastructure, participate in planning for adding new clusters and helping users. Experience in Linux / UNIX system administration is an essential requirement. Knowledge of high performance computing systems, batch queue systems and administration of network service is desirable. Those with a B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science, or B.C.A. or M.C.A. with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent are eligible to apply. Physics or Mathematicians with a Ph.D. and having considerable experience on computing and system administration will also be considered. In case the candidate has the required experience in Linux administration it may be possible to relax the minimum qualification.
